Auto-factory foreman Nino (Alberto Sordi) takes his proper, modern wife and two blonde daughters from industrial Milan to antiquated, rural Sicily to visit his family and get back in touch with his roots. He dispels many of the negative stereotypes about Sicilians and the mafia. But as he reconnects with his past in Sicily, he is reminded that he remains bound by a decades old oath to “The Honored Society.”
