We now invite all to join us for

Summer Festival 2024 

 

Festival begins with Tutto Quello Che Vuoi/FRIENDS BY CHANCE (May4) a comedy/drama about the unlikely friendship between a 22-year-old scoundrel and a 85-year-old poet and the hint of hidden treasure.    Next The Traitor/Il Traditiore  (May 25) about Tommaso Buscetta the first mafia informant.  Then we are treated to Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar inspired Caesar Must Die (June1) performed by a cast of Roman prison inmates.   Now comes pure joy with Ennio (July6) a work of art paying tribute to Ennio Morricone and his music.  We then go back to Rome with L’immensita  (Aug 3) a family story of love between a mother and her three children.  We close with Zamora (Aug 31) a football, i.e., soccer, comedy with a message.  In Italy, You are called a Zamora if your play is great or awfuI, after a famed soccer star. It is an edifying story a learning to be respected and brave

The Little Italy Film Festival  shows great Italian movies with English subtitles,  indoors at the FIREHOUSE MUSEUM THEATER. Of course we have the usual mix of comedy, romance, adventure, drama, fantasy, action, crime, music, mystery, history, thriller in Italian with English subtitles during this season.  All as only the Italians can present.
