Splendor is the name of a movie theater owned by Jordan (Mastroianni). The theater is losing audience to TV, but help comes from projectionist Luigi (Troisi). Can Jordan be forced to sell the Splendor to the proprietors of a furniture store? Not while Jordan is able to relive the glorious days of Splendor and the great movies of the past.
