Nino Garofalo leaves his family for a job in a fancy Swiss restaurant as a waiter-on-trial. Nino tries to adapt to the Swiss culture, he even dyes his hair blond, but there is a constant struggle between his Italian identity and the Swiss one he is attempting to adopt.
