Summer Festival 2023

FIREHOUSE MUSEUM THEATER
First Saturday of the Month: CineCafe’ at 6:30,  Movie at 7:00 PM

May 6 Fiasco In Milan.    Dreams of riches by a gang leader and his men are thwarted by mishaps.   The Italian Title “Audace colpo deo soliti ignoti”  translates as “A Daring Strike by the Usual Unknown Persons.”  They become, ala Capt. Renault in Casablanca, ” …the usual suspects.”

June 3 Pane, Amore e Fantasia.   The amorous adventures of Maresciallo Carotenuto, Vittorio de Sica,  and his fruitless efforts and constant adversities, with always something to save him in the end. The main object was of course Gina Lollobrigida as “la Bersagliera”, the prettiest and poorest girl in town.

July 1 L’Orchestra di Piazza Victorio. Focus is on the music and the emotions created by a musical and humanitarian bet: bringing together musicians from all over the world on a single stage in Rome. .

Aug 5 Siccita’. A first-rate ecological/political/end-of-civilized-behavior satire whose topical themes range from the environment to the way people deal  with a crisis.

Sept 3 Never Too Late for Love. Gianni Di Gregorio’s movie is a brilliant comedy casting a tender and disenchanted eye over the loves, ailments and infinite annoyances of man’s third age which isn’t so different from childhood and its awkward encounters with strangers.
